Privacy policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
In short
- This site collects very little: your email if you join the beta, and audience measurement only if you accept it.
- No advertising, no data resale, no marketing pixels.
- The data you will entrust to the Nuance app stays on your iPhone: the app has its own dedicated policy, available in-app.
Data controller
Jungle Labs, a French EURL with a share capital of €1,000, RCS Paris 953 467 487, 60 rue François 1er, 75008 Paris, France. Contact: contact@app-nuance.com.
What we process, why, and on what legal basis
Beta sign-up
If you leave your email address, it is used solely to let you know when the Nuance beta opens. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to contact@app-nuance.com; your address is then deleted. No newsletter, no marketing.
Audience measurement
With your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), we use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used: page views, referrers, device. Without your consent, no measurement tracker is set and the Site works exactly the same.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, timestamps) for security and reliability purposes. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies and trackers
The Site sets only one family of cookies: Google Analytics, and only if you accept them through the choice dialog. Your choice (accept or refuse) is stored on your device for 6 months, after which you are asked again. You can change your mind at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of the page.
The Site also loads the Newsreader typeface from Google Fonts: your IP address is transmitted to Google when the page loads. See Google's privacy policy.
Recipients and transfers
Your data is never sold or rented. It is accessible to Jungle Labs and its technical processors: our hosting provider, Google Cloud EMEA Limited (Google Cloud Platform, Ireland), and, if you accepted it, Google Analytics (audience measurement). Google may transfer data outside the European Union; these transfers are governed by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Retention periods
- Beta email: until the beta opens, then deleted at most 12 months later, or as soon as you withdraw your consent. Never more than 3 years after collection.
- Audience measurement: 14 months at most.
- Technical logs: 12 months at most.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to contact@app-nuance.com. We reply within one month.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr.
What about the Nuance app?
The app is local-first by design: your journal entries, free-text notes and voice notes stay on your iPhone. It will have its own privacy policy, accessible from the app, before it opens.
Changes to this policy
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with its update date. If processing changes substantially, your consent will be requested again where required.
